90 Ball Bingo
90 Ball Bingo is generally the most popular form of Bingo and is played all over the world. It is also the largest in terms of numbers (balls).
The Bingo cards are divided into a 3×9 grid, with five random numbers and four empty spaces.
There are three chances to win, which are done in three stages.
The first win is for completing a single row. The second for completing two rows. And the third for three rows called a Full House.
80 Ball Bingo
This version was created specifically for online Bingo, and over the years it has become steadily more popular.
In this variation of Bingo, players use 4×4 cards with 16 numbers. Each column of the card has a number range (e.g. 1st row = 1-20, 2nd row = 21-40, etc).
To win, players must mark of a complete row in a certain pattern, usually shown on the card.
Some of the most popular patterns used in this (and other Bingo versions) are:
Four Corners – Only the four corner numbers of the grid are required.
Outer Edge – The outer edge numbers (the “frame” of the grid) are required (i.e. a hollow square).
Full House – All squares in the grid are covered.
Letters – A letter pattern placed over the grid (popular letters are E, L, W, Z, X).
75 Ball Bingo
This variation of Bingo is usually more common in USA and Canada than other parts of the world.
Here, Bingo cards are sectioned in a 5×5 grid with 25 squares. All squares contain numbers except for the centre, which is blank, which makes 24 numbers in total. The grids are also organised with the letters B-I-N-G-O.
The first winner is the player that completes a full row of numbers, usually in any direction (up, down, or diagonally), although sometimes Bingo patterns are also used.
30 Ball Bingo
Also known as “Speed Bingo”, this version uses just 30 numbers, which makes for a much shorter and faster game.
The cards have 9 numbers in a 3×3 grid, and players are required to get all 9 numbers (a Full House) in order to win the single grand prize.
Speed Bingo can most commonly be found on online casino sites, and certain select Bingo halls.

It is a matter of preference when considering which is the better way to play Bingo.
